|Requirements: * Matric/Grade 12 Certificate * National Diploma/Degree in Road Traffic/Road
Transport/Road Safety/Traffic Policing/Public Administration or Law * BTech and/or Honours
Degree in one of the above fields would be an added advantage * Minimum of three (3) to five
(5) years’ continuous experience within the road traffic/road safety/transport environment *
Experience and knowledge of continuous engagement with Issuing Authorities and other
transactional partners at provincial and local level will be an added advantage * Valid driver’s
license* Willing to work outside office hours.
Required competencies: * Interpersonal and communication skills * Report Writing and
Presentation Skills* Knowledge of AARTO Act and sound administration skills * Knowledge on
road transport and traffic legislation * Computer literacy (MS Office Suite Package) * Writing
and presentation skills * Analytical and organisational skills * Communication skills (verbal
and written) * Project management skills.
Duties: * Implement and facilitate engagements with transactional partners on AARTO;
Implement transactional partners engagement plans; Implement and prepare transactional
partners engagement reports; Attend transactional partner meetings (Provincial AARTO Task
teams) and provide reports; Implement policies in line with the AARTO national roll-out *
Assist in facilitating the AARTO National Task Team Committee; Assist in compiling
communique with regards to AARTO National Task team; Assist secretariat office with
National Task team members; Implement and provide support to the technical committees;
Implement engagements with DLTCs and RAs on AARTO Matters * Implement and
facilitate AARTO/National/Road Safety Summit and Conferences; Assist in preparing
summit/conference preparation meetings; Assist in preparations of letters to all stakeholders;
Assist in general administration of the summit/conferences * Assist in coordinating and
facilitating use of equipment; Assist in Implementing use of equipment within the unit;
Assist in maintaining and keeping track of logbooks of vehicles, ensure proper use of pool
vehicles within the unit * Assist in coordinating, facilitating Road Safety flagship projects
and general office administration; Assist in coordinating flagship project meetings with all
stakeholders; Assist in coordinating and facilitating road safety projects, interacting with other
entities/stakeholders on meeting; Assist in general administration within the Unit.
NB. The position involves extensive traveling within the borders of South Africa.
